One of the most popular forms of blogging is the travel blog. It’s fun to do because most people either love to travel or love to dream about traveling, and reading somebody’s blog about different places in the world can help you escape for little bit. Maybe that’s the thing about traveling: even just thinking about a beach or different place in the world can help you forget your day to day troubles for a bit. Travel blogs are written in all sorts of different ways, and they use all sorts of different styles.
Some people give tips and advice on how to travel. Things like where to go, what to see, what to pack, how much money it will cost, etc… are common travel blog sites. These are designed to inform readers who are planning a big trip.
Other people simply write about the travels that they have been on. They aren’t giving advice, but they’re telling their story. They tell of the area, the people, the food, and the whole experience. These are called travel narratives.
Finally, some people write about the places in the world they want to go. These people are the dreamers, and they’re blogs are collections of ideas.
You are going to write a travel blog. It can be any of the the three:
1) Advice on how to travel
2) Tell a story of a place you’ve traveled to (this doesn’t need to be an exotic location somewhere else in the world – some of the best travel blogs tell stories of places that aren’t far away at all).
3) A place you dream of visiting
